Fiesta by the waterfront

IT’S an annual gathering hosted by the Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao for its friends and partners in the industry. It’s their own way of saying thank you for the support they have extended to the destination hotel every Davaoeño grew up with.

In this party, the hotel is doing away with the glitz and glamour that every thanksgiving event has been associated with. No coats and ties, no long gowns. It’s a dress down event that only required flowing maxi dresses, polo shirts, beach trousers and comfortable sandals.

“We are taking the party by the waterfront literally,” said the Waterfront’s general manager Bryan Yves Lasala in his welcome remarks.

The seaside soiree was called “Beats and Vibes”, a party with a Caribbean theme and vibe.

As one would expect from the island themed event, the venue was bursting with colors, the music was upbeat and the food, bountiful.

Partners and friends from travel, media, and government and private institutions were recognized for their support and introduced to the other guests on stage in a short program.

After which, it was back to the island fiesta.“Beats and Vibes” was a party on a green carpet, a thanksgiving gathering of stars under the stars.
